Christmas gift ideas: serving the jewellery.

coming from a non-Christian Chinese family, Christmas has hardly ever been a celebration. the only times we celebrated Christmas in its full glory was as a kid in London. for about four or five consecutive years, my family would fly over to London to join in the wintery festive season. Christmas celebrations with my mom and aunt's old friends were a plus too.

i remember the one thing that my sis and i looked forward to the most was putting up the Christmas tree. the tree was kinda tall and we'd always have to climb onto a chair to hang the ornaments. but as the years went by, the tree grew shorter or rather, we grew taller. it was always good fun spending Christmas with all the aunts, uncles and kiddies. everyone would bask in the joyous spirit and when the time came, we'd all gather round the tree to rip apart those presents.

yes, those well-thought presents that we kids got every year when we were in London... those moments of finally discovering what was under the pretty wrappers... those exhilarating times of playing with our new toys... those were the days indeed. *i'm feeling all nostalgic now.*

hmm not that 'glamourous' a tree aye?

as a kid, Christmas presents are of utmost importance. as we grow older, the importance of presents start to be outweighed by precious time spent with family and loved ones. while i do treasure and value the time i have with my family and loved ones, no matter the occasion, i also do believe in an annual 'treat' for those i love.

so i've been thinking about Christmas gifts and thought why not share them with the rest of you? Christmas is after all about sharing and giving. here's my little contribution:

i think one of the can't-go-wrong gifts for ladies are jewellery stands/holders. every girl loves a pretty thing to hold their pretty jewellery so why not indulge in all that loveliness?

something unconventional. hooks are always great for hanging chunky necklaces.
